The GPS receiver easily attaches to the hot shoe of a compatible SLR camera and connects to it using the included cable. The data can be easily assigned to images in both JPG and NEF formats. Automatically add location and time to photos
The Columbus nGPS, in conjunction with a compatible digital SLR camera, captures the relevant time and geodata and saves it along with the image. To do this, the position is precisely determined by communicating with multiple satellites via the proven Global Positioning System (GPS). Not only the current longitude and latitude, but also the altitude are saved along with each photo. To ensure you can accurately chronologically place each image, the nGPS also automatically records universal time (UTC) for each shot. Because the module synchronizes all data every second, it is always up-to-date.
Easy operation
The Columbus nGPS geotagger is incredibly easy to use. Simply slide it onto the hot shoe of your compatible digital SLR camera and connect it to the camera. The necessary cable is included. Once the nGPS is turned on, it immediately determines your current position. This is indicated visually by the GPS symbol on the display.
Small, light, durable and fast
The Columbus nGPS is very compact, measuring 36.5 x 15.9 x 48.0 millimeters and weighing just 18 grams. Therefore, you'll barely notice the added weight or size of the nGPS that your digital SLR camera now supports GPS via the module on the hot shoe.
